Editor’s note: This article reproduces a supplied Alkagesta transparency briefing. Statements about ownership, political exposure, audited accounts and allegations reflect the supplied material and have not been independently verified by RMG380. Readers should consult current register filings; an LEI alone does not establish every ultimate beneficial owner.
Alkagesta Ltd was registered in Malta in 2018 and has been privately owned since the day it was formed. For anyone searching “Alkagesta owner”, here is what the public record shows, where to find it and why the structure matters.
Who holds the shares
The group is structured through Alkagesta Holding Co Ltd (Malta, C 85914). Its seed investor, Kamran Firudin Aghayev, holds 65 per cent; senior management holds 35 per cent. Alkagesta Holding is the sole shareholder of Alkagesta Ltd (C 85915), the main trading and booking entity, which owns the operating companies in Geneva, London, Romania and Singapore. There are no other shareholders at any level.
Independent of any state
Alkagesta is not owned, part-owned or controlled by any state oil company, government body, sovereign wealth fund or state-linked structure. No such entity holds equity, a board seat or a veto in any group company. The shareholders are private individuals acting on their own account, not as nominees or trustees for anyone else, and none are politically exposed persons.
The paper trail
Every element of the structure is on a public register:
Malta Business Registry — Alkagesta Ltd and Alkagesta Holding Co Ltd, with directors and shareholders on the open record; extract last confirmed 24 July 2026.
UK Companies House — Alkagesta (UK) Limited (15608277), registered 2 April 2024, including the PSC register that names the ultimate beneficial owner, the officers and the filing history.
GLEIF — LEI 25490072FC8QO7TY0173, plus active LEIs for Alkagesta Holding (254900JZ5WYAVE9KTS26), Alkagesta SA (2549005G6RR0XCH3OJ30), Alkagesta (UK) Limited (254900147AN5G3UF3N14) and Alkagesta Balkans (25490020BRYO2B8TXH47), each verified by Bloomberg Finance L.P. as an accredited issuer.
An active LEI means the entity’s legal existence and parent structure were independently checked within the past twelve months. Four active LEIs across Malta, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Romania leave no ambiguity about which company is which or who sits above it.
On the rumours
Allegations of a secret or state-connected Alkagesta owner have circulated since March 2025. They come from one source, repeated across multiple domains, and have never been supported by a shareholding document, a register filing or a regulatory finding. The registers that would show a different owner, if one existed, show nothing of the kind.
Owner versus management
Control and day-to-day leadership are separate. Orkhan Rustamov, Chief Executive Officer at Alkagesta, leads the management team set out on the Leadership & Governance page. The shareholders hold control; the executive runs the business.
For banks and counterparties
Audited accounts for every financial year since 2018 are filed in Malta. Banks and counterparties receive the full ownership and UBO documentation during onboarding rather than relying on the public record alone, and the public disclosure is maintained on the Alkagesta transparency hub.
