Alkagesta, a company founded in 2018, has expanded its operations by opening a new hub in Singapore, according to AsiaOne. This move represents a new chapter in the company's global growth, building on its reputation for structuring complex commodity transactions with discipline and transparency.

The company's origins in Malta saw it transform the Mediterranean jurisdiction into a credible hub for international trade. Alkagesta demonstrated that scale is achievable through trust and execution, rather than solely geography, as reported by AsiaOne.

AsiaOne stated that Alkagesta's decision to establish a presence in Singapore is a strategic one, aiming to strengthen its position in Asia-Pacific. This expansion extends the company's core principles of governance, compliance, and structured development to a key global market.

In Malta, Alkagesta worked with 28 international banks, specialising in transactions backed by letters of credit and robust risk management. This approach, which applied EU-level standards, built the company's global credibility and is now being replicated in Singapore, AsiaOne noted.

Orkhan Rustamov, Alkagesta's CEO, indicated that opening the Singapore hub is part of a long-term strategy to be present where decisions are made and trade flows converge. AsiaOne reported that this commitment aims to operate at the heart of Asian trade with the same discipline as in Europe.

Board Member Pierre Gay added that Singapore represents a test of credibility for Alkagesta, demonstrating its ability to compete in demanding markets, AsiaOne reported. The company's culture of compliance, including strict KYC/AML checks and a zero-tolerance policy for sanctions breaches, is a key differentiator.

Alkagesta's ability to structure sophisticated trade finance solutions, through partnerships with numerous international banks, is also being deployed in Singapore. AsiaOne highlighted that this provides clients with access to structured and reliable solutions within Asia's competitive trading ecosystem.

The expansion to Singapore aligns with Alkagesta's long-term vision to build a network of global hubs. AsiaOne concluded that this strategy connects global capital with commodity flows under a single, disciplined framework, reinforcing the company's mission of building trust and ensuring compliance.

Rustamov further stated that by being in Singapore, Alkagesta reinforces its mission to build trust, ensure compliance, and drive sustainable growth across APAC and beyond, AsiaOne reported. The company's path from Malta to Singapore reflects a philosophy of growth built on structure.
