Four European and Canadian shipowners have collaborated on a new order for four product tankers in China, according to Splash 247. This order will increase the Vinga series of vessels to a total of 26.

The newbuilds are 17,999 dwt product tankers. Two of these vessels are designated for FureBear, a joint venture established between Sweden's Furetank and Canada's Algoma Central Corporation.

Additionally, Swedish owner Älvtank is set to receive one of the new tankers. The remaining vessel from this order will be delivered to a Norwegian owner, as reported by Splash 247.

This expansion of the Vinga series highlights ongoing investment in product tanker capacity within the shipping industry. The collaboration between multiple owners for this order suggests a strategic approach to fleet development.
